Women who are into spanking mostly like to be spanked and men who are into spanking mostly like to spank.
I know there are exceptions to this but in general this is the case the majority of the time.
To be fair I've often pondered the evolutionary significance. Its nice to know I'm not the only one.

This used to be quite a common reaction to the spanking fetish, but it appears quite old-fashioned now--more typical of a 1970s style of feminism, where men were by definition nasty and aggressive and women supposedly more "mature." Thankfully, we've all moved on from those kinds of reductive stereotypes.
It's generally not a wise idea to extrapolate your conclusions based on such a small sample size, in this case: 1.
Obviously, just because she isn't interested in spanking, she's assuming no woman is. Oops.
I was in a relationship where my girlfriend was the one who reacted quite unexpectedly when I gave her a tap on the bum. She couldn't get enough. It became a regular part of foreplay. I would have never have though to continue it if she didn't want it more than I wanted to do it.
