I'm always astonished at the ineptness of non-spankos when they try to stage a spanking scene. I mean, what the hell is he spanking her with? It looks like a fireplace log or something.

I'm fairly sure that's a dried tobacco leaf, as are the things hanging off to the right. That's a very odd thing to have in one's living room, and an even stranger spanking implement.

I recognise the implement and you're right to be seriously confused. So am I.
He's using a piece of biltong to spank her. Biltong is similar to your beef jerky I suppose. Dried smoked and salted animal meat. Quite delicious, but a spanking implement?

For those who were curious enough to ask about the even-more curious "implement" being used in the photo, it is a piece of good old South African biltong - smoked meat, usually beef or ostrich. The intended audience would recognize it. For a South African (or anyone with a grounding in the local context) there is a wealth of kink to be seen in this photo. For almost everyone else (apart from dear Aunty) it is probably just strange...
I have seen this photo previously, through an unexpected Google search. It is from South Africa, and the young lady is being corrected with a piece of South African "biltong," a strip of dried meet similar to American beef jerky.

Practical K - can you tell us more about the "wealth of kink" in this picture. I'd love to know more from a local perspective.
The word biltong derives from the dutch 'bil' meaning buttock and 'tong' meaning strip, which sounds kind of appropriate! I have no idea how effective it would actually be as a spanking tool, but I do know that Charlize Theron loves to eat it. (But has she ever been spanked with it?)
