Aunty has often wondered how she would have treated the "help" had she been a wealthy aristocrat in days gone by.
Would she have abused her position by administering bare-bottomed thrashings to staff for no other reason than their particularly spankable behinds?
Or would she have held back until punishment was really called for?
Hard to know! Have any readers thought about how they would act if they found themselves in a position of authority in a time when corporal punishment was wide-spread and acceptable?

So many things to love, one of my favorite being that he didn't have that tired rhythmic pace so many movies (and Disciplinarians) have. Guilty as charged. One loves the Victorian theme. It is fair to say that I've spent many a long moment cogitating the fate of maids and matrons in my charge (instead of counting sheep), either as House Master or Head Master. There is something about being able to use the privilege of wealth and power to comfort, cosset and care for your charges, whilst at the same time being in the perfect position to make and enforce the rules. And given the double standards of the Victorian era, you know that your thoughts are plausible which gives them an extra satisfying reality. Oh for a time machine and a purse full of gold.

I would absolutely have abused my power. Power would have corrupted me immediately. I would have shied away from absolute power, as that much power eats up the hours of the day with economic, diplomatic, and military matters; hours that could be spent thrashing servant girls for... whatever. For not knowing which would prevail: the unmovable object, or the irresistable force. Fifty lashes!
(Aside: the question is self defeating. Once you accept the premiss that the universe contains an object that cannot be moved, then by definition, the universe does not contain a force that cannot be resisted. But servant girls back in the day, wouldn't know that, or perhaps even that the Earth rotates around the Sun, so they would answer and be thrashed. Thrashed!)
I'd be a benevolent dictator, to be sure. I would make sure each of my hot, young, beaten serfs had all the gruel and mutton they could eat. In matters of law I would hand down mercy and justice. I imagine that, if I were thrown back in time and in a position of such authority, I would not abuse that power. I'd still be a product of today, and my sense of right and wrong wouldn't change. If I was faced with a naughty servant girl, and one so fair and pretty as this, it would be a most insidious temptation. I don't know how I would feel if I was actually of that era, and it was considered proper to discipline the staff in such a manner. This was great, and as you say without the whelts and gyno, which are un necessary. I was intrigued to see that the bottom belonged to Lucy Bailey. Lucy, now retired, was a major star in spanko films and magazines in London, and had a bottom capable of taking nearly anything !! Frankly I find this apparent spanking drought for the international female population wishing to participate in games of the palm most disturbing.

At my English boys school 45 years ago it was common for prefects (most senior boys in a position of authority) to beat younger boys's bottoms for infringements of school rules. When I was a prefect I didn't administer thrashings just because a bottom was particularly spankable, but I did deliver a good spanking when it was deserved.
