Aunty wanted to re-post a comment left by Susan under an earlier post about sorority hazing. Susan wrote:
I was a sorority member in the late 90s. Paddling doesn't occur within national chapters as often because their organizations are monitored more closely. It happens, but it's hidden-out-in-the-open, if you follow. Local chapters on the other hand, as I was part of, generally aren't regulated as closely, and let me tell you, we girls did much worse hazing than some of the frats! LOL Paddling was standard in some orgs, as were pledges with black and blue bottoms after the intake process! Mine sure was! I've been spanked since, but never as hard as that. We had to take the paddle on bare skin but you're told to wear a thong. Some of our sisters would swing so hard it lifted me up on my feet even though I was bent over the back of a couch. I cried and felt like passing out. It took weeks for my rear to heal.
It became sort of a joke after it, because whenever you'd be in the showers, you'd always know which of us pledged an org that paddled by the bruised rears! Some wouldn't use the gym showers until their bruises cleared up. A few even quit over it. Sometimes somebody's parents would get upset and make a big deal over it, make threatening phone calls to administration calling us "sickos," but they knew they'd never be able to stop it because the new girls are so desperate to join they're willing to be paddled to get in, some look forward to it. It's hardly a secret. And as Katie - above - said, we'd have a lot of fun doing it to the new pledges. To be honest, twice I had pledges who started crying hysterically while I paddled them. The first time it didn't bother me because the girl was a real bitch. Two other girls had to steady her while I swung away. She was one of the few where I intentionally broke the skin so she bled a little. The other time a pledge really broke down, I wanted to stop, but my sisters indicated otherwise with instructions not to ease up on my swings. With each loud WHOP she'd go quiet for a second and then just wail! She hardly spoke to me all year even though I apologized and tried to make friends. I'll admit though I saw it get out of hand. Personal disputes between girls always made the paddlings worse. I saw a few fights break out during initiations, and I know there were girls who went to see a doctor because of their bruises. I can't imagine how they explained it!A pledge takes her swats from her new big sister.
As the pledges wait in submissive position, a sister can barely contain her glee.

I'm all for some invigorating paddling play between young ladies, but that description didn't leave me with any warm and fuzzy feelings towards sorority paddling. I've seen and experienced the bond that can be created between spanker and spankee and it's a really wonderful thing, but I don't see how the kind of scene described can foster the sort of sisterhood I assume was originally the point of such a ritual. I appreciate the frank honesty though. And of course the pics are nice!
Wow Susan! thanks so much for posting that account - I can honestly say I have similar recollections and stories to recount although then again I cannot divulge too much, especialyl since I only finished this year... but well said! Yeah I agree with Phil01 cause there is a big difference between consenting adults who want to explore spanking, get something out of it. And the type of paddling going on during hazing. Sorry but its stupid, dangerous and that's why it is illegal cause there are prob girls who get fucked up by it. That isnt cool. This Susan sounds like she has guilt over knocking on her friends like that! I can see being mad about getting beat down but they are no better if they have fun doing it to the new pledges. If sorority girls want to spank they should just leave the paddles out of it.
I hope that it's not too long before the videos of soroity hazing paddlings hit the stores. I've always been bi-curious, never been paddled by a female since Mom, but this tale got me hot!

sorry, when i said it sounds hot, i meant the pics and the descripts and the consensual parts of the paddling, otherwise, it soudns a bit sadistic, which is cool in fantasy, not cool when you have someone holding her down :)
Anon & Phil: While I appreciate that this is not always consensual spanking play, sorority/frat paddling is a subject of great interest to many spankophiles - in fact it's somewhere up there with school spanking in deliciousness. Like it or not, many spankos are drawn to real-life accounts and images of corporal punishment.
Speaking personally, I believe any young man or woman who wishes to enter a Greek house where paddling is utilized for hazing, is consenting to the treatment. If they have to be held down to receive the punishment, they are still consenting because they have been informed that such a ritual is the price they will need to pay for membership. Of course things sometimes get out of hand and people sometimes get hurt, but this is no different from any other youthfully rash activity. Besides, I'm sure more people get hurt playing college football or lacrosse, or whatever, than get seriously wounded from a sorority or frat paddling.
Aunty, I am sure that there are some very hard paddlings handed out during sorority hazings. When I was in college my girl friend joined a sorority and she got her bottom bruised black and blue at least 3 times and milder spankings were normal. Her Big Sister gave my girl friend the wood at least once a week. With me being a spanko I though it was great to see her battered butt and get the details.

Of all the sorority hazing pics I've seen, this set is one of my favorites. The girl in the first pic, holding the green paddle, really loves her work, look at that expression. She is in at least two other pics in that same set.

If this is sorority initiation paddling, why are there guys in the photos? That would seem to take away some of the bonding. But if it wasn't severe, I enjoyed the photos too!
I know the paddling traditions change from house to house and year to year. As I posted elsewhere on this forum, I know one sorority that did its initiation paddlings just before the formal dance, in part because it would upset the women to bare their bottoms after getting dressed.
Why are there guys present? I don't know. But, carrying that theme that the paddlings sometimes occur before the formal dance, this could be some variation on that theme, and who knows if it is a formal initiation paddling or what.
Plus, sorority sisters are human. Even when there isn't formal paddling, especially since that is banned most everywhere, who knows what happens in fun. I belonged to a fraternity where they was no initiation paddling, but you can be certain my sister (a woman who joins a fraternity) willingly was paddled.
