The pros and cons of sorority paddling

Aunty was nosing around Michael Masterson's (defunct?) blog today and came across some interesting images -- both involving sorority girls and paddling.

Guess the main point Aunty wants to make is - well - be careful with those paddles. It may seem like an excellent and fun idea during a party when everyone has had a little too much to drink - like the people in the image below ...

... But there is another side to all the frivolity. The next picture is of a sorority sister showing the after-effects of a paddling. And that really does look a little severe ... Unless of course, she likes it hard. In which case, Aunty has no qualms.

Aunty, I'd like to inquire: From whence comes that pattern of ecchymosis?
Was it done with the girl face down and someone paddling her vertically while sitting on her back facing her feet? I suspect the subcutaneous bleed could arise from an adjacent region, but recalling the width of one of those diabolically thick sorority paddles, for this brave lass, it appears to have been "crack-smacking time."

I would agree. This young lady has been punished vertically with a narrow implement (strap or ruler, perhaps)...applied in and immediately adjacent to her crack.

That's actually pretty horrible!

It is indeed. What a senseless waste of an opportunity to give her a proper paddling...

It looks like the bruised lady was hit like the action shot shows. With that two-handed "baseball bat" technique looks like she's aiming the edge of the paddle right into the butt. That's a sure way to bruise before getting the intended effect of the paddle.

That poor girl. Friends shouldn't let friends mis-paddle. :(

Ok, the title of this post, 'the pros and cons of sorority paddling" is very very misleading...

there are no cons to buxom sorority chicas getting paddled...just admit it :)

I've seen bruising develop along the crack even when the paddling was on the cheeks. I assume it's a result of the aftershock of the cheeks smacking into each other. I can't fully explain her bruise pattern, but I'll bet that's part of what happened. More documentation would help.

All Fraternities and Sororities are Satanic in origin when it comes to the rituals they perform, paddling itself is spiritually and morally corrupt.
